Looking back this year, it felt that we accomplished quite a bit. It was not an easy year, but it was definitely a good year to be thankful. We had a lot of great things happen, which included these highlights.
We’re Having a Girl!
In late September we received amazing news. Nixon was becoming a big brother! Our daughter is due around Memorial Day weekend in the upcoming year, and we couldn’t be more excited. There’s a lot of work to be done in 2016 to prepare, and we can’t wait to meet her! |

Inspiration Pop continues to battle and improve after his massive heart attack. He’s come such a long way since last year’s surgery. His cardiologist even mentioned that Pop was his best case study with all the work he’s done before. He’s been amazed to see what Pop’s been able to do. A strong will can do wonders for people driving to a goal. Opa also made it to 12 months on his prostate as well. That’s the most telling time when the cancer can return, but he’s continued to be cancer-free. |

Landscape Projects Bridget really wanted to have Nixon’s 2nd birthday at our house, and that meant a lot of landscaping work lay in front of us. In January we laid the flagstone, the grass continued to grow, we planted the different planters on the side, we placed three trees in the front yard, we hung lights on our trellis, and we setup the drip in both the back and front. Go Us! |

Spring Training! I finally got to go to Spring Training and it was amazing. Our friends, Kevin and Heidi, moved to Arizona, so Bridget and I bit the bullet and decided to plan the trip. We had a lot of fun with the Rabes. And we only saw one game and watched the Royals play. It’s funny watching spring training since it seems like you could even play out there with them with the mistakes they made. And we’re talking about the future World Series Champs. We had a great time, and we’re headed back hat way in 2016. |

New(er) Truck I’ve never owned a nice car in my entire life with good reason. But, with that, Nixon needed a car to aspire to drive when he turned 16. That, and I needed to help tow him to and fro. So, with that, I bought my daddy station wagon, a sweet 2011 double cab Toyota truck. It’s scary to drive something nice that I have a payment on, but worthwhile as I drop my munchkin off to school. |

Honorable Mention: Traveling A lot of short travels this year for both Work and Personal. Here was my list of places: Phoenix, Las Vegas, Petaluma, Napa, San Francisco, Yosemite, Santa Monica, Newport Beach, Hollywood, Tahoe. |
