Nothing is more American than celebrating the Fourth of July by eating hot dogs, going to a baseball game, and drinking beer. Well… considering that we were headed up to San Fran for the weekend, this made for the perfect weekend to hang out with those Drinkin Dykins.
On Saturday morning after arriving at our hotel, Bridget asked me to grab the tickets that I printed out. The hotel was waiting for us to get our things, so I quickly grabbed the paper tickets in my work bag. After a beer or two, we were off to the San Francisco game to watch Lincecum pitch against Oswalt and the Astros. I had to tell Bridget that this was going to be a great pitching matchup. SO she rolled her eyes and said, “Oh so you mean this game is going to be boring.”
When we came to the gates of AT&T, Bridget pulled out the tickets I gave her earlier for the game, looked back at me, and said… “How is this Statement of Work going to get us into the game.” Whoops… mixed business with pleasure on that one. We then had to go down to the StubHub office to grab the tickets (which was actually pretty cool).
The Drinkin’ Dykins snuck us in to their seats, and we enjoyed the game from the right field line. The rest of the day included hearing the fireworks from the hotel room and going out to an Irish Bar. Bridget summed up the weekend best:
We stayed at the Mosser Hotel downtown, caught a game w/amazing seats, drank lots of beer and had a great time!
