On Labor Day Bridget and I decided to take a break from Reno and visit Erron and Alexya in Petaluma. We darted down their Friday night to spend the next two days with them.

When we arrived, Erron greeted me with a new seasonal brew that Lagunitas had been brewing, Little Sumptin’ Wild. This sucker reminded me of a hoppy beer with a bit of a citris twinge… almost a hoppy belguim white, and it was good enough for me to buy a case of ‘em later.

We had a few of these while catching up on life. We had a pretty late night, and I felt bad the next morning since Erron had to wake up at 6am to meet the concrete guys. They were pouring a concrete slab for the deck that morning, which turned out really nice.

We then spent the day hanging out at the brewery, getting a personal tour of the place, and having some of their specialty beers. We even sneaked in a beer float as well, which had a side of awesomeness to it.

The next day turned out to be a blast as well. We traveled down to San Francisco for the day. We grabbed some tandem bikes and rode across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito. Then we took the ferry back.

The tandem bike was fun in itself. Bridget really didn’t like me being in front and in control. And to her credit, I only whiffed it once and had to stop because I got driven into the Golden Gate wall. Thing didn’t have power steering.

Either way, we had some good times in our trip down there during Labor Day and it was great to see Erron and Alexya.
